I just read an article about Stephaine Roche. She is an Irish footballer who plays for Peaumont United Ladies' Team. At a local game, she scored an unbelievable goal which immediately went viral on YouTube. Watch the video below and see what you make of it!
Could this be the best goal of the year? FIFA think so as she has been nominated for the 2014 Puskas FIFA Award.Other famous nominations include; Diego Costa,Marco Fabian, Zaltan Ibrahimovic and Robin Van Persie.

What an amazing goal!. It reminded me of the world cup this summer with the amazing difficulty. I enjjoy playing and watching exciting soccer. That being said, i do not like watching entire soccer matches but do enjoy soccer highlights. Plus I am Irish so I will definitely vote and support the orange white and green.

ReplyDeleteWow, this sounds like a huge deal. With her scoring that incredible goal I bet this is a day she'll never forget. I really hope she makes it to the top three she deserves it. Watching that video was an eye opener. She has probably influenced many people, girls especially.
ReplyDeleteWhat a strike! Off the volley on top of that. The technique here was just flawless and it would ne great to see her take the award. She's certainly up against some huge competition as well! To have her name thrown in with others such as Diego Costa and Ibrahimovic must be an incredible feeling, best of luck to her!
